Cadu ("we", "us", "our") provides a WhatsApp-based website builder. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
1. Data we collect
When you use Cadu, we collect:
- WhatsApp messages you send to Cadu, including text and media attachments. These are used to understand and carry out your website edits.
- Your WhatsApp phone number, used to identify your account and deliver responses.
- Website content you create through Cadu, including HTML, images, and other assets published to your site.
- Payment information if you subscribe or purchase credits. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details.
2. How we use your data
- To build, edit, and host your website as you instruct via WhatsApp.
- To maintain version history so you can undo changes.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To improve and debug the Cadu service.
3. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate Cadu:
- WhatsApp / Meta - messaging platform. Subject to WhatsApp's privacy policy.
- Stripe - payment processing. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
- Anthropic (Claude) - AI model used to interpret your instructions and generate website edits.
- GitHub - source code storage for your website files.
4. Data retention
We retain your website content and message history for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your site will be taken offline but your data will be retained for 30 days in case you wish to reactivate. After that, it is permanently deleted.
5. Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it at any time by messaging us on WhatsApp or emailing hi@cadu.app.
6. Security
All communication between you and Cadu is encrypted via WhatsApp's end-to-end encryption. Your website is served over HTTPS. We follow industry-standard practices to protect your data.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via WhatsApp.
